The
Script
The latest venture of Simran Entertainment
is a series of documentaries on the Royal
houses and sultanates - especially of
the Arabian region.
The
initial documentary film is based on the
achievements of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos
bin Said Al Said of Oman. It charts the
intellectual and economic renaissance
of one of the largest countries in the
Arabian Gulf region - one of the great
examples of modernisation and advancement.
The 28-minute film retraces the glorious
tale of transformation and re-emergence
of Oman into prominence as a regional
beacon of progress under His Majesty’s
visionary leadership. The documentary
also touches upon the rich past of the
Sultanate, and the history of the dynasty.
Produced
with generous support from the Ministry
of Information, Government of Oman, the
film is wholly based on extensive research
and reference material sourced from experts,
historians, recording archives and information
networks - and relies heavily on antique
footages. The film, produced and enhanced
using state-of-the-art digital technology,
is ultimately meant to provide an authentic
and authoritative reference for future
generations. Rights for the documentary’s
telecast over major television networks
worldwide are currently being negotiated.
